以前中三吾准用計數機...要用對數表...或對數尺....
密麻麻數字的對數表....有時眼花睇錯數字...一個數子錯...後面的數子亦錯.....結果系錯到離譜.......沒有得用計數機的日子真系好慘....
其實書局重有無對數表賣....

係倉底摷番本對數表， 這應該是70-80年代版
60-70 間用的好似是藍色面， 較細本的。
全完唔知要點查囉
唔用表可以用尺。
細時十十下， 唔明大佬用把尺懟懟下， 盪盪下做乜東東

對數表係用來計乜就唔記得了.

I think you are right, from memory the 4-figure tables are to calculate things like LOG, SIN, COS, TAN (i.e. those functions that nowadays a scientific calculator can do easily)...
