One of the earliest successful attempts at film in natural colours, made probably by William Norman Lascelles Davidson and Benjamin Jumeaux in Brighton, 1902 or 1903. Three separate images were photographed simultaneously through colour filters (red, green and blue).

Victoria Luise 1913 - experimental color movie

This is an experimantal color movie that was produced in 1913 during the wedding of emperor Wilhelm´s doughter. Three synchronous black-and-white recordingd with monochromatic color filters were used for a subtractive color process somewhat similar to the later Technicolor system. These pictures were not artificially colorized or manipulated.

Extract of "Concerning one thousand dollars", made in two-color KODACHROME by the Eastman Kodak Company in 1916. The short film ran approximately six minutes and was also advertising the Kodak still camera.

Synopsis: The wife of an inventor in financial trouble reads about a photographic contest whose winner will receive a $1,000 award. She wins, and after some hesitation her husband accepts the unexpected present of a check to continue his research.
